WHERE THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN PLAY!
Volunteer
We would like to recognise and thank all our volunteers because, without them, our club would not be able to provide all the services we do. So from us to you:
THANK YOU!
Located within the City of Kalamunda, Maida Vale Reserve is nestled within the Perth foothills and can be accessed from either Ridge Hill Road or Acacia Road (off Gooseberry Hill Road). ACROD parking is available from the Acacia Road access and there is parking for over 100 vehicles within the Reserve, with many under shade. At Kalamunda Rangers, we have two full sized Baseball diamonds, complete with cutouts and 10 m back net, as well as enclosed batting cages. Our main diamond also has a home-run fence, a running track, as well as permanent dugouts and a scorers’ shelter. Our grounds are acknowledged as some of the best in Western Australia and, in recognition of all the work our groundskeeper has put into the diamonds over the years, our main diamond was named the Andy Maher Field in 2016. In addition to baseball and softball, we also have the ability to create up to 15 Teeball /Softball Diamonds. Our Canteen stocks a wide variety of goods including cooked meals after training or games on most days, and our licenced bar facilities are available for all senior events.
Having a club that represents all three diamond sports requires a lot of people to organise things – weekly things, one-off things, things for the whole club, and things for a single team. Some take a lot of work, others not so much.
However if it’s left for one or two people, things can soon become overwhelming and things get missed – which means our members (that would be you) miss out. Many of the roles in our club are not large and only take a few hours each season to complete, or can be accommodated in a ‘job-share” arrangement. Please consider helping out so we can continue to provide the family-friendly and fun opportunity to play Teeball, Baseball and Softball at Kalamunda.
And sharing the load benefits everyone, not just our club. Volunteering helps you connect and feel part of a community, learn new skills, or teach new skills, to grow, to make an impact on someone’s life.
So what would you like to learn? Or teach? Or do?
